Karthik Calling Karthik Is All About Urban Loneliness

Unrequited love, boredom, work pressure, frustration, deep anxiety, pain, financial calamity and many more. Karthik Calling Karthik is definitely a movie to reckon. Hallucinations, surrealism and some doses of self motivation is what this movie is all about. Brilliantly designed plot, top-notch acting and tremendous on-screen presence is revealed with unbelievable subtleness. The story deciphers conscience; it travels through the realm of realism and surrealism. The background music creates a sense of Dejavu. Goosebumps!

Karthik Calling Karthik showcases a man’s life who is lonely and disturbed, who wishes himself in his birthday, who is shy and neglected, who is passionate yet unacknowledged. He is our urban Invisible man who walks a lonely road. He is bullied, dumped and used like anything. He is the dead man walking who can’t feel anything except his inner voices and taunts from everybody around. No one cares about him and eventually gets a call that changes his life. Terrific! This movie epitomizes pain of a lonely soul and reveals many secrets of an urban apartment.

Karthik Calling Karthik is a must watch for anybody who loves serious cinema. You can love it, hate it but you can’t ignore it. The movie keeps its promises as the delivery of each scene is captured with panache. Karthik Calling Karthik’s background music definitely gives you a sense of high. The journey of the protagonist was shown with real consequences. Everything is real in the movie including the phone call…

Verdict: Surreal yet deep
