The Future of Human Names: Don’t Let Namesakes Steal Your Identity

Your identity defines your existence; your name makes you unique. It all starts from your birth, stays there for life and never fades away into oblivion. Your name travels faster than your physical self and you are nobody without a name. With the advent of baby naming agencies, the world is investing lots of money for baby names. Unlike yesteryears, when we were solely dependent on our scholarly relative, parents and astrologers, today there are professional baby name experts who will give a suitable name to the newborn. Everything starts with a name hence it's important to look at various factors for naming your child. Most of the good names are already taken hence it's a challenge for anyone to do a proper human branding. With the advent of Internet, it's very important to give a unique name so that your kid's name is not lost amid the sea of namesakes. Although unique and elegant baby names find an eminent position in the society, it’s always advisable to do 360 degree thinking about the names you will be giving to the newborn.

There is a great thought process involved before naming a newborn. You have to look at various factors like the Language, History and Meaning of the chosen word. A great name in India may not fit well globally while an International name may not sound delightful for the family members and relatives. Naming your child becomes a tedious process. There are millions of baby names available on the Internet with meanings but do you think, these names will be unique in the future? I guess no. Almost everybody has access to computers nowadays hence your baby won't have a name that can make a difference. Not only your physical presence, you also have to think about the online presence of your kid that includes domain names, vanity URLs, email address and twitter handles and I am sure there will be no uniqueness left in the future and you have to add those hyphens and digits. Human branding is all about looking at the pros and cons of a Name; it has to be classy still it has to be subtle.

It cannot be too loud. You also have to think about the future interpretations of these names. A great sounding name from this generation may become mundane and archaic in the future. Your baby name should have enough substance. Great names add enough weight to your personality hence naming your child with common names won't be a cool thing to do. Your kid's name should look good in the resumes, the newborn should feel proud to pronounce his/her name and it should make a great first impression. The recall value of a name is also very important for easy mentions and wide appraisals. A good name finds a place in many discussions. People always love to mention a good name while people tend to keep a dull sounding name away from any conversation. It's always that great name that takes away all the attention.

Many people in this world are not happy with their names hence they prefer to write alternative names. They also change their names but there are people who can make their unattractive names interesting by doing brilliant things. That's an exception, though. A name which is popular today may not get that equal importance in future hence it's always safe to give a subtle name with a deep meaning and intellectual value. You have no idea about the newborn and his interest hence it becomes difficult for naming the future kids. It's always advisable to do some research and consult experts before naming because it's something that will stay for life. There's no hurry and there's no need to follow others while naming your kid. It's all about selecting the most convenient and best sounding name. Remember, names that are trending now will become very common in the future hence look for a name from history and literature that can easily blend in the future.

A good name is always appreciated and it's totally in your control. The world without Namesakes won't be possible now for sure however picking a great and unique name is what sounds apt for the future generation. The rest will be done by the child that completely depends on his/her abilities and who knows their works may outsmart their name in future, it's always debatable, though. The future looks scary but there will always be a way out to leave your mark no matter how difficult your name is.  After all, the Shakespeare’s dictum - what’s in a name? will still be relevant.

Confessions Of A Curious Dreamer – How I Solved Problems & Found Ideas Through Creative Sleep

Since childhood, I am fascinated towards the world of dreams. Constant daydreaming and my sleeping habits make me a procrastinator to the outer world. My dad thinks I am the laziest guy who loves sleeping at any given time. He wants me to wake up and do some physical exercise but I am always busy dreaming.

The whole process of sleep is so fascinating and only few who dream a lot can understand. My sleeping habits may not be considered normal but I do get lots of exciting ideas in my dreams. I have developed a unique skill to manipulate my dreams. Sometimes, I start with a story in my head before sleeping and during my sleep; I get my story getting completed with a perfect ending. I am fond of sleep writing, which is crazy. I don't know how productive it is for others but I like scribbling down my scattered dreams whenever I see them. In order to get a sleep full of imaginative dreams, I watch movies and read exciting stuff and meet people who inspire me before sleep.

I am constantly hunting for ideas for satiating my mind. I remember telling my brother about my dreaming habits, I always wanted to see fulfilling dreams. Every night I see dreams that are not only fantastical but also very relevant to the present state of life. There are flying dreams, riding dreams, dreams of talking to dead ones, walking in subways, airport and various types of dream sequences that keep me busy. All dreams may not be beautiful; I had dreams of getting shot once and felt the near death experience. Nobody dies in dreams, you just wake up. I see recurring dreams of appearing in Math Exam, which always give me a sense of fear. Dreams and nightmares are a part of your life but the ability to record your dreams is what I practice.

The real world is boring hence; I took the route of sleep to see unimaginable things, which is not possible in real life. I constructed my own world and tried to make characters in my dreams, I also solved many real life problems through my dreams. Maybe I have mastered the craft of Lucid Dreaming; however the existence of sleep and dreams is one of the greatest influencers in my life. You must have seen the amount of irritability is high if you are sleep deprived hence getting a perfect sleep is important for waking up to a fresh morning. Afternoon naps are also considered productive and you shouldn't laugh at your colleague who is constantly found dozing at work after lunch.

There are other benefits like wound healing, waste clearance, improved decision making, better sex etc. associated with sleep. The famous inspiration that came from dreams includes John Lennon's #9 Dreams, Christopher Nolan's Inception, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Salvador DalĂ's Persistence of Memory, Paul McCartney's Yesterday, and Stephen King's Dreamcatcher. Hence, we can't deny the importance of sleep and dreams in our day to day lives. Keeping a dream journal may sound crazy but if you see a fascinating dream, you should write it down. It's amazing to read them in your wakefulness. From fiction to poetry, surrealism to rock, dreams offer you inspiration in all possible genres. In order to attain the perfect creative orgasm, you should practice the art of manipulating your dreams. You are just a few nights of sleep away from the most amazing dream sequence of your life.

What if Immortality is real?

What if you discover the Fountain of Youth one day in the darkest corner of your city, unperturbed from the regular chaos, undeciphered by locals, sitting silently somewhere between few abandoned buildings? You are tempted to drink that potion to live forever. Imagine the world full of immortals. The very thought of curing death sounds impractical at the present scenario but with the advancement of medical science and technology, nothing seems impossible. Scientists across the world are working hard to solve the problem of death. From age reversing drugs to 3-D printed organs, from augmented reality applications to building drugs that mimics fox03 genes, which is present in people with longer life span, Scientists around the world are curious to decode death. According to reports, Tech giants are investing huge money for making immortality real in future but there are always apprehensions associated with such activities as it's not a great idea to reverse the natural process of life.

Suppose, in future the drug for immortality is invented and people start living forever and have a static youth. There are stories from the past when various people tried to attain immortality but failed. Immortality is just a fiction in present times but the way technology is shaping up, it looks no big deal for the scientist to fix this problem too. From finding alien signals to exploring other habitable planets, the idea of keeping humans alive is currently keeping the scientists busy.

Immortality, that seems like the ultimate greed of a highly qualified man is always been criticized. The idea of beauty won't be the same if immortality becomes real. Immortals will surely take up various roles and time will be divided into phases. The idea of time changes, the idea of maturity will change. May be some 300-year-old will be considered more experienced than a 100-year-old newbie. People under 100 will be considered more efficient for taking up military and sports. There will be no cremation grounds and graveyards. May be the task of exploring other planets will be taken up by the older ones around 500-1000-year-olds after they are bored from living and exploration will act as the spiritual escape for them. They will travel the galaxy and come back to share their learning to the newborns. Dead people will become a part of their discussions. Some scholars will try to understand the life of mortals as they will be considered more progressive than the immortals. Murder stories will surely excite them but that will hold no meaning for the immortals. You can't kill them by anything; if you burn them there will be technology to revive them from the leftover cells. May be if someone completely destroy their cells, their clones with same characteristics will replace them. Death won't be easy for them.

The beauty of human beings will be judged by their experiences and travels. Immortality will open up many other opportunities for sure but the idea itself looks very unrealistic now. You can't escape death and that's the only truth and if you have no sense of urgency, you won't take life that seriously. With immortality bestowed upon every human being, war-like situations will become a rarity. There will be no killings however the concept of exile can surely come into existence. Boredom will become a greater life threatening disease and people will crave to end their immortality to escape the harsh reality. With every blessing, there's a hidden curse and who knows you are exposed to the greater threat after being immortalized. Every day is a brand new day; it's always wonderful to experience every phase of life. There's nothing wrong in aging gracefully as we can't reverse our destiny.

The Reveries and Nightmares of Augmented Reality

Indian Bloggers
Ryan, a writer in his 30s often juggles between reality and fiction. He is unable to find the perfect plot for his crime thriller stumbles upon a pair of Augmented Reality glasses that changes his life forever. He could see what other can't see, he is constantly meeting people from other parts of the country and exploring newer places virtually. His brain is manipulated by computer generated images. In the whole process, he is losing his capability to judge between real and illusionary pictures now. Although, he is one of the most well-informed guys in town, he is often found hallucinating and talking to himself. People think he is crazy but he is not, this is the impact of Augmented Reality and the nightmare waits for most of you if technology overpowers humanity in the near future. This will be the case of everyone as predicted by Stephen Hawking that computers will make human brains obsolete. So let's find out the pros and cons of embracing future technology like Augmented Reality. It's a very raw stage to predict but what if doomsday for humanity comes before time.

Augmented Reality promises to transform your future into the magical world. The intervention of virtual world superimposed in your physical world is what Scientists are trying to do for our future. Augmented Reality or enhanced reality is something which will make the world super transparent and easy to navigate. Augmented Reality will eventually take over every aspect of mankind and the thought is both whimsical and scary at the same time. Currently, you need a smartphone or glasses to see a completely computer generated world. Augmented Reality apps are currently at beta stage but it will surely take over humanity within 5-10 years completely. That day is not far when you will be able to read a newspaper and also access videos embedded in the printed newspaper through augmented reality glasses.  You will be able to store everything in your printed visiting card and access them anywhere, anytime.

Imagine, you are walking in the streets of Manhattan and you need to find an Indian Restaurant nearby, just wear your Augmented Reality glasses and look around, you will be able to see all kinds of restaurants with menus and user reviews right in front of your eyes. There will be virtual sales person appearing everywhere that can give you a nightmare.

That day is not far when you can access the whole profile of a person standing at the bus stop by looking at the person through Augmented Reality glasses. However, there will be a privacy issue with this which can be easily prevented by the person. Everyone can make their data password protected. You have the control to allow or not to allow your information to be seen by the passerby. Augmented Reality is one of the most delightful Artificial Intelligence inventions however, there can be major nightmares associated with this technology. Technology is slowly making humankind dependent and lazy, it's making your life easier still too much of technology can manipulate human mind and there's a chance of falling into a major trap of machines and robots in future. Augmented Reality promises to transform the communication world completely. You will be able to see the person in front of you while talking over a phone. A virtual 3D world will be created in front of you. The impact of this technology will be so high that people will prefer to stay in their virtual world and completely disregard reality. The chances of getting addicted towards this kind of technology are very high.

From Archaeology to Architecture, from Art to Commerce, from Construction to Military, from Education to Medical applications, augmented reality apps can be used in almost every field. For eg, there are Augmented Reality T-shirts available which allows you to look into your body. You can easily see the anatomy by wearing Augmented Reality glasses or by placing the camera of your Smartphone with Augmented Reality app over the T-shirt worn by someone. AR is touted to be the next big thing and most of the tech giants are investing heavily on this. Just like the Internet, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality will change the way Humans live, Think and Survive. Imagine the world when you can be virtually present in all the major events from Olympics to World Cup, just by wearing Augmented Reality glasses. You are virtually present amidst the crowd and cheering for your favorite Team. With the advent of Augmented Reality, you will be thrown into a world of Mixed Reality and you have the power to select the best truth. Right now, few options such as Contact Lenses, Eyeglasses, Head mounted display, Head-up display, eyeTap, Handheld etc. are available to access the Augmented Reality environment. Lots of exciting things are happening around the concept of AR and VR (Virtual Reality) around the world. Magic Leap is one such company which is currently working in stealth mode for making AR the greatest tool to change the world in future. From Steven Spielberg to Harrison Ford, everyone is excited about the brand new computer-mediated world.  Things that look magical today become monotony in future, although Augmented Reality promises to give you the best out of this world experience, still the apprehensions will stay as everyone wants to guard the beauty of humanity, which is hardly found in machines.
