Writing Portfolio - List of Published Articles

The print isn’t dead while we can't ignore Digital either. If robots take up writing jobs in future, this portfolio may still make some sense as all the write-ups mentioned below is written manually by a human and he made a genuine effort to solve problems, intrigue people with ideas and make you saner amidst all the man-made chaos.

Here’s a list of articles that got published and I frankly feel accomplished.

Publications

Digitally Immortal | May 11, 2018 | The Assam Tribune

What if we are already living in a computer simulation? What if we are controlled by some ultra-sophisticated technology? What if we are creating simulated realities within the overall simulation? What if even the powerful people on this earth are just a part of the whole simulation? What if there is no history of Earth? What if we are just virtual bodies hanging around in this virtual place and our main bodies or consciousness are just stored somewhere in the cloud? What if our whole existence is nothing but a lie?

The Digital Asylum | Dec 8, 2017 | The Assam Tribune

Close your gate, connect to your Bluetooth, play The Doors. Start your laptop, check those notifications and get transported to the world full of possibilities where you can be anyone, you can be anywhere. Congratulations! You are successfully teleported to the elusive Digital World.

The Lonely Millennials | Nov 24, 2017  | The Assam Tribune

“I need friends” – as Flash (Ezra Miller) in the recently released Justice League tells Batman (Ben Affleck) while giving his consent in joining the League. Even superheroes are lonely in the modern age hence we can’t ignore the growing emptiness amid the people living in this urban jungle.

Scream Rooms for the Lone Wolf | Nov 18, 2016 | The Assam Tribune

The skyscrapers will always make you feel small. You will be reduced to the size of an ant but the growth of those structures won't stop. The future world may look much more advanced but there will be less soul. The connection between people will only happen virtually.

City of Clones | Aug 5, 2016 | The Assam Tribune

Imagine a city in future where everyone looks identical. The females have no one to be jealous of and the males look muscular and uniformly handsome. Everyone in the city looks indistinguishable. Imagine a man entering the city of clones and finding everyone staring at him because he looks like an alien to them. The man makes his way to the church and finds clones everywhere. Human cloning is an unethical process of going against the nature to subdue uniqueness but what if the residents of the city of clones never knew about the outer world where everyone looks different.

Whither Immortality? | Jun 3, 2016 | The Assam Tribune

Imagine life after 100 years when nobody from our generation would be there to tell the stories. Almost everyone will be dead and gone by then. All Facebook and other social media profiles of our generation will be no more active.

'Captain America: Civil War' - More Superheroes But Less Punch Than 'Batman V Superman' | May 12, 2016 | The Huffington Post

The hype, the superheroes and the unlimited praise from critics propelled me to watch no less than the first show of Captain America: Civil War. The critics had slammed Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice which I actually loved, so given that Civil War earned accolades from the snarkiest of reviewers I was pretty excited.

Your Digital Avatar | Apr 8, 2016 | The Assam Tribune

Imagine life after 100 years. Almost everyone living today will be dead and gone by then. All Facebook and other social media profiles of our generation will become digital graveyards.

Ghost In The Machine: Living Forever As A Digital Avatar | Apr 4, 2016 | The Huffington Post

Imagine life after 100 years. Almost everyone living today will be dead and gone by then. All Facebook and other social media profiles of our generation will become digital graveyards. Today's young beauty will be tomorrow's dead grandma, today's leaders will be archived in digital libraries. And as has been the case for many millennia, this generation will disappear and the next one will take over.

The Reality of a Digital Dark Age | Mar 4, 2016 | The Assam Tribune

The impact of digitalization is so high that we can't imagine a day without its presence in our day to day lives. What if everything written by our generation becomes obsolete in future and our existence fades away into oblivion because there are no records or supporting files left in future.

You Critics Are Jokers - 'Batman v Superman' Is One Of The Best Superhero Movies Ever | Mar 3, 2016 | The Huffington Post

I am writing this letter to let you know how new age masterpieces will be disregarded by people like you to satisfy your own inflated egos. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was one of the most awaited movies of the decade, but its release was met by an explosion of bad reviews and criticism. But here's the thing, most audiences will not agree with this herd-like dumping of negativity in the movie.
